Sometimes I feel as though I don't have a lot to share and then other times I have too much to share and don't know where to start....in both cases I usually end up writing nothing at all. I've been a little hit and miss with blogging lately and it's not because I don't want to do it anymore but it's because sometimes when I've been having a stressful day in work (like everyday this whole summer!) when I get home from work I sort of hide away. I end up binge watching TV shows and knitting on the couch and doing everything possible to avoid thinking about work problems...which results in me keeping my laptop turned off. It's my (albeit, not very good) form of de-stressing.
But I've realised lately that it's not been working for me. I still feel stressed and end up feeling a bit blah about the projects I'm working on and end up lacking inspiration to do anything different. Reading other blogs is a huge source of inspiration to me and I find that when I stop writing posts for a week I also seem to stop reading other peoples' posts too.....which is silly but it seems to happen every time. So I end up not writing and not reading anything...no wonder I end up a bit bored every so often.
One thing I know for sure though is that even if I neglect it sometimes, I love keeping this blog; it's been a scrapbook of sorts for all the projects I've worked on, adventures I've had since moving here and all the big and little trips I've been on along the way.
Basically what I guess I'm saying is that I really enjoy keeping this blog and even though I go through fazes of "no one wants to hear about the fact that I'm still knitting the same sweater and sewing the same quilt that I've been banging on about for weeks now" I'll keep blogging and keep on sharing my slow progress!
I'm right there with you. Sometimes I feel like I don't have anything to say and other times I have something to say, but I"m not around my computer and don't want to type it all on my phone so I do nothing.
