I’ve been waiting very impatiently for over a week to work on both my quilt and my big brown blanket. If you remember I debated for a long time over whether or not to buy more yarn for the big brown blanket (I’m very unimaginative when it comes to naming inanimate objects), the problem was the yarn was no longer on sale and I didn’t want to spent over $20 (and the shipping costs) for more yarn. So I waited and waited and then finally there was another sale at Joanns and I managed to get the wool at 40% off which was great but shipping was still $6….boo.
But I also had to but my quilting on hold because I didn’t have any pins to hold the front back and insides of the quilt together while I sewed them – and although I do think I’ll follow the suggestion to use the basting spray method in the future I saw quilting safety pins 50% at the same time as the yarn so I snagged them both for the same shipping cost.
So I’m delighted that I was still able to save money but even more delighted that I get to sew and knit up a storm again…..I didn’t mention because but I’m on a bit of a deadline for the quilt because it’s a gift but I think I’ll get it finished in time (5 weeks left).
Linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced and Tami for WIP wednesday
That is a very lovely color brown! I am the same way when it comes to ordering more yarn...I do love the sales and no shipping costs! Most of the time a blanket will sit for a long period of time because I do need more yarn and am waiting on a sale. :)

Just read your last three posts. Congratulations on the 10 miles that's amazing and I think the strategy of turning up the music is a great idea a bit of Bruno mars or something would be great. Your quilt is looking good and glad you got a good sale with the wool and the pins too. It's funny about the bedside clutter because you love with it day in day out and with a few organisational bowls and a basket and an hour's work it looks and fees amazing. Why do we take so long to out in that one hour to sort it out I'll never know. Have a good week. Regards Kathy A, Brisbane, Australia

I held out for as long as I could for a sale and free shipping combo but no joy - at least I got the sale anyway and getting the pins at least made paying shipping costs for the yarn a little less painful

Ha ha I know I'm a terrible procrastinator though, I always but off the simplest of tasks sometimes even important ones for far far too long!
