The second out of three big highlights of the Christmas trip up North(first was Washington DC), was an afternoon drive out to the town of Buffalo, NY where we were able to see Niagara Falls. I even brought my passport with me so that I was able to cross the border into Canada and see the even better view from the Canadian side.
It was freezing cold up there, I was very glad of my (borrowed) down coat, hat and gloves because I felt like my nose was going to fall off when we were crossing the Rainbow Bridge into Canada. It was worth the drive and worth the cold though, the falls were so impressive, so powerful and I loved that everything around them was covered in icicles and snow. A frozen wonderland.
Breathtaking… and fun!
