In my haste to get started with my new sewing machine (which I’m already obsessed with!) I completely forgot to share photos of the finished Irish blanket that I’ve spent the last few weeks knitting.
It started about being dubbed the Irish blanket because I accidentely choose some nice bright colours that I thought would pop against each other without being too harsh and I ended up coming home with the colours of the Irish flag….which of course I didn’t realise until I was at least a quarter way through the blanket.
Actually now that it’s done I really like that it’s the Irish colours, it’s a little bit of Irish pride in the house, that’s a bit more subtle than a giant map of Ireland or dressing Boomer up as a leprechaun!
I don’t really call it the Irish blanket anymore though because ever since the beginning this blanket has had Boomer written all over it. Funnily enough he doesn’t try to eat or chew on the blanket now that it’s finished but he had so much fun helping me make it!
It’s his blanket now – whenever its left on the couch I’ll find him curled up on it, little cutie!
Also of note...this is my 50th blog post! Wow I didn't even realise I'd posted that much already!
