I can't believe our little puppy is already 18 weeks old! Where is the time going? He has gotten so incredibly big in such a short time. If anything life with an 18 week old puppy has been the most challenging so far…..and why?....puppy teeth! Wow for such small teeth they can do some damage.
Big thing happened this week for Boomer – he lost his first teeth (that we know of), check out the little gaps beside his canines. Now when the canines themselves fall out then I’ll celebrate because those little bad boys are so sharp.
So what to do when you’re a little puppy with sore teeth…chew, chew like crazy. He is constantly chewing the corner of the couch (which I don’t have a photo of) and when he’s not gnawing on the furniture he’s carrying around his dinosaur crying. Honestly it’s adorable and heart-breaking at the same time. At least he spends some time with his toys…
He’s starting to look more and more like a Cocker Spaniel each day. His ears are long and silky, his feathers (the bits at the back of his legs) are getting longer and check out that almost curl on his tiny tail.
All this growing means he’s alternating between sleeping a lot (complete with snores) and partying hard – like a proper teenage boy! Here’s just a sample of his antics in the garden.
It’s not all fun and games though, at least not for us. He’s discovered the joy of stealing…nothing is safe (I'll spare you the photos of the underwear he keeps stealing!)
But its hard to stay mad when he's this darn cute
